Sacred Heart Students

Last year Sacred Heart School students raised a little over $300 to benefit the Saving Lives Close to Home Capital Campaign to build the Kate Marmion Regional Cancer Medical Center. This year the student's raised $541.17 plus a tooth to benefit Uvalde Healthcare Foundation. The students are shown with Sheri Rutledge, representing Uvalde Healthcare Foundation at the check presentation. The newly formed 501 (c) 3 was created at the close of the building campaign that raised over $5-million to bring radiation therapy for the first time west of San Antonio and expand local medical services. The new foundation will provide door-to-door transportation services to qualifying radiation patients and financial assistance to radiation therapy patients that quality for financial assistance. For more information on the foundation or to make a donation, contact Rutledge at 830.486.5416 ext. 1616 or s.rutledge@umhtx.org.
