EPO Network
Uvalde Memorial Hospital and affiliated doctors is the EPO network for your medical care. With a wide range of services offered at UMH and our many Physicians' & Dentist offices to chose from, you can rest assured that all of your medical needs can be taken care of here in Uvalde!
PPO Network
Texas True Choice (TTC) is the PPO Network for your medical & dental care. Texas True Choice (TTC) is one of the state's largest preferred provider organization (PPO) networks serving insurance companies, third-party administrators, producers and employers. You may access provider information on the website at www.texastruechoice.com.
Medical Reimbursement
We also offer a tax savings program called "Medical Reimbursement" (or known as the Cafeteria Plan) available to employees to deduct pretax out of pocket medical expenses not covered by insurance plans.
Paid Time Off
Not only do we want to offer you health insurance for you and your family, we want to make sure we give you time to spend with them. Here at UMH you can accrue paid time off (PTO) as follows:

| 6-end of 10th yr. | 224 hours per year |
| 11- end of 15th yr. | 264 hours per year |
| Beginning of 16th yr. | 304 hours per year |
You can use these hours upon directors approval or cash them out according to hospital policy.
You can cash out these PTO hours every six months. This is specified in the hospital policy.
Extended Sick Leave
If you are out for an illness, you can use your Extended Sick Leave (ESL) at which the employee accumulates 32 hours per year.
Other Covered Benefits
Life Insurance
The hospital pays for a life insurance policy equal to two times the employees' annual salary. We also offer Supplemental life/AD&D Insurance for employees, spouse, and children.
Short Term Disability
Employees pay for coverage to provide Supplemental income in case of disability due to an accident or illness.
Retirement Plan
We have a 403b plan that we will match 3% of contributions after twelve months of employment.
