Uvalde Memorial Hospital (UMH) received a $1,500,000 gift in honor of Cele Briscoe Carpenter from her children, Benjamin Carpenter, Austin Carpenter, and Bonner Carpenter Acker. The donation is part of the $5.2-million Better Health Begins Here capital campaign and will be designated for the MRI in the Imaging Center for the new hospital slated for completion in early 2022.
