Plinio Caldera, M.D.

Dr. Plinio Caldera was born in Managua, Nicaragua, and moved to Houston, Texas in 1984. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and a physician assistant certificate at Baylor College of Medicine. He worked as a physician assistant in orthopedic surgery in Houston for four years and obtained his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. Dr. Caldera completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Scott and White Memorial Hospital, Texas A&M University in Temple.

Dr. Caldera has over twenty years of experience in both private and group orthopedic practice, including Houston Methodist Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery.

Dr. Caldera has three grown children, and brings to Uvalde with him his wife, Claudia. He is fluent in Spanish and English and enjoys traveling, exploring restaurants, exercising, movies, and spending time with family and friends.
